In our latest Meet the Team blog, we’re sitting down with Elias, our Block Manager Team Leader. We talk to his passion for music, including an early singing career.
What is your role at tlc?
My Role is Team Leader of the Block Management Department.
What is your background?
I have always worked in sales & customer service through various industries – marketing, banking, recruitment and most recently in the last 5 years property. I’ve always found that sales and customer service go hand in hand as my strength of a consultative approach and taking the time to understand a customer’s needs – then tailoring my product/service to that need has helped me to generate the desired result.
What values drive you?
It has always been my desire to help people wherever I can. When working in banking and recruitment for example I would never push a product or candidate that was not going to be a good fit for the end customer. Perhaps if I was a bit more ruthless, I would be a millionaire by now, but I rather a clear conscience knowing that at the end of the day, I have acted ethically and helped those that I interact with get where they need to be.
What are your objectives for tlc over the next 12 months?
My objectives for the next 12 months are to galvanise the Block Management team, put in place the correct processes so that we can be the best Block Management Team that we can be!
What do you enjoy doing outside of the office?
Outside of office hours I enjoy a good movie, tv series and playing football. Recently I have caught the travel bug after a Christmas and New years holiday to Italy, I look forward to exploring more of Europe and beyond.
What is your favourite song?
My favourite song at the moment has to Firelight by Hundred Waters, the way that the beat crescendo’s is just amazing as it goes back and forth between a calm and easy listening track is like ambrosia for the ears.
What is one thing that might surprise people about you?
One thing that might surprise you to know is that from the age of 8-15 I sang soprano in a Church Choir and quickly progressed to become head chorister.
If you could be any animal, what would you be?
My spirit animal as a Leo is the Lion.
What are three things on your bucket list?
On my Bucket list is to see the northern lights in person, to go to Rio de Janeiro, and to hug a Lion – though not too sure I will ever do the last of those 3!
