Earls Court Film Festival marks fifth year

Returning for it’s fifth year, the Earls Court Film Festival has taken us on a spectacular cinematic journey through a variety of short film genre. From sci-fi to mockumentaries, ECFF 2019’s films have been as unique as they are entertaining.

The two-week event has become a much-anticipated fixture on the Earls Court calendar, attracting hundreds of visitors and a number of big screen stars. It presents the perfect opportunity to showcase and launch the outstanding work of some extremely talented emerging film makers.

After expanding into the West End this year with screenings in Soho and Covent Garden, the festival culminated with the annual Gala and Awards Evening at St Cuthbert’s Church. We were delighted to welcome back Dame Diana Rigg DBE – famous for roles in The Avengers and Game of Thrones – to join the judging panel for this year’s shorts. Jake Lancaster’s ‘2025: The Long Hot Winter’ was crowned the winner.

You can see some of our highlights from the Gala Evening below.
