What is your role at tlc?
Director, Lettings
What is your background?
I grew up in Hamburg, Germany, and later moved to Frankfurt to study International Management. During my studies, I worked in various areas of the real estate industry, including Transaction Management, Construction, and Business Development. This experience opened the door to an internship at an estate agency in New York City, which eventually led to a full-time role in London as a Lettings Agent. I joined the tlc Lettings team in 2019 and have enjoyed being part of the Earl’s Court community ever since.
What values drive you?
I value kindness, fairness, and integrity in everything I do. For me, it is about working hard, staying grounded, and treating everyone with respect. These values guide how I approach my work and how I interact with people in my personal life too.
What are your objectives for tlc over the next 12 months?
Over the next 12 months, our main objectives are to open a new office in South Kensington, expand our reach into SW3 and SW7, and build relationships with new landlords in the area.
At the same time we will be guiding the lettings department through the significant changes coming with the Renters’ Rights Bill, which is set to bring the biggest shift in the lettings market we have seen in decades.
What do you enjoy doing outside of the office?
Outside of work, I love staying active. Whether it is skiing, diving, hiking, or simply going for a run to clear my mind. Travelling and experiencing different cultures is also a big passion of mine, especially when it comes to trying new foods. I enjoy cooking at home, tackling DIY projects and spending time antique shopping. It is always exciting to find something unique with a story behind it.
What is your favourite song?
I cannot say I have a single favourite song because I love so many different genres. 80s music is a particular favourite, and I often wish I would been around to experience that incredible decade. If I had to pick one song that I am not getting bored of though, it would be Time by Hans Zimmer.
What is one thing that might surprise people about you?
Although I was born and raised in Germany, my first language was actually Polish. I can still understand pretty much everything, but when it comes to speaking? Let’s just say I am a bit out of practice. It is definitely something I’d love to brush up on one day, though.
If you could be any animal, what would you be?
I would choose to be a dolphin. They are intelligent, adaptable, and thrive in communities, which is something I really value. Additionally, they are always active and, on the move, which feels a bit like my day-to-day life, minus the swimming, of course!
What are three things on your bucket list?
